Websites For Marketing People

A Design As Unique As Your Brand

We blend the latest research on Information Architecture – i.e., how your visitors view and click through your site – with designs from award-winning graphic artists to create a one-of-a-kind site just for your organization or brand.

It starts with our research-based approach to information architecture that puts all the words, graphics, and buttons in their right places – because, as hundreds of studies have shown, many website elements just belong in certain places to get the best results.

Then we use our award-winning designers from around the world who build upon the IA wireframes and incorporate modern web design principles to develop sites that remain highly functional while graphically elegant, striking, fun, cool — or whatever adjective best meets your brand or company image.

Why is Information Architecture (IA) so important?

In this Web 2.0, information-overload world, well-planned information architecture has never been more essential. Building and maintaining websites that are easy to navigate and appealing to users is now more important than ever before.

So what is some of the learning from these IA studies? For starters, they answer the following questions (and many more):

  • What’s the #1 reason people lose trust in a website?
  • Where is the best location for call-to-action buttons?
  • What colors produce the highest response rates?
  • How do people read websites? And why does it vary so much from the way people read the printed word?
  • Should text be displayed in one-column or two or three?
  • Do people see images or headlines first?

We incorporate the best of IA research into every website, microsite, iPhone app, Facebook profile we create. The results are on these pages as well as on our clients’ sites.

The Design Process at Work

We start with your brand standards or guidelines (or even just your opinion of what your brand should represent). Then we develop a range of creative concepts (see above) that incorporate your standards, the Best Practices of Information Architecture, and a bit from the school of modern web design (larger fonts, bigger buttons, and making sure it’s all aligned with Google’s web design standards).

We’ll review the options with you and decide on a primary direction, which we’ll flesh out into a home and a few template pages. The result is a website look and feel that is as unique as your brand.

Keep in mind, if you like your current look, we can work with that too.
